Fresh out of college from New World School of the Arts in Miami, Melissa landed in Chicago with visions of Steppenwolf and Northlight dancing in her head. She went to her first agent meeting and said, "You know what I'd really like to do...voice overs." The agent shrugged her casual agent-shrug and said, "Ok." The next day, Melissa went to her first voice-over audition and booked it. Later she dedicated over a year refining her VO skills with Shelly Carlson before fleeing the midwestern winters for the sunny shores of California.
Since then Melissa has voiced commercials, promotional videos, live performances, games, animations and digital psychological tests...that's right, psyche tests. The scientists involved believed Melissa to have the friendliest, least-threatening voice available. She hopes to spend as much time BEING friendly as she does SOUNDING friendly.
When Melissa's not tucked away in her northern California sound booth she's outside hiking, running, spotting wildlife and enjoying local food & wine with her family and friends.
